Ten calculators. No sign-up, no email.
The sums a fuel outlet does every day, done properly. Nothing here is gated behind a form, and none of them send your figures anywhere — the arithmetic runs in your browser.
Petrol pump profit calculator
Enter your daily litres, your commission per litre and your monthly running costs. See gross margin, net profit, the margin per litre you are actually keeping, and the daily volume you need to break even.
Free calculatorNozzle meter reading calculator
Opening and closing readings in, litres sold and sale value out — for up to six nozzles at once. Testing litres are deducted, because fuel returned to the tank was dispensed but not sold.
Free calculatorTank stock variance calculator
Opening stock, plus deliveries, minus litres dispensed, against the dip you measured. The difference is your variance — in litres, as a percentage of throughput, and in rupees.
Free calculatorShift cash reconciliation calculator
What the litres say the shift should have collected, against what it actually did — split across cash, UPI, card, fleet and credit, with drawer expenses taken out.
Free calculatorFuel density and temperature correction
Fuel expands as it warms. A tanker measured at 38°C on the forecourt holds fewer litres at 15°C than the gauge says — this converts observed density and volume to their values at the 15°C reference.
Free calculatorTank dip to litres
A vertical tank half-full by depth is half-full by volume. A horizontal one is not — at a quarter of its diameter it holds under a fifth of its contents, and reading it linearly is a mistake worth hundreds of litres.
Free calculatorWhen to order, and will the load fit
Two questions that pull in opposite directions: order later and the load fits but you risk running dry, order earlier and you are safe but may have a compartment you cannot discharge. This answers both at once.
Free calculatorPetrol pump investment and payback
Setup cost and working capital against commission per litre and monthly running costs. See the payback period, the break-even volume, and what borrowing does to the return you actually keep.
Free calculatorIs the tanker really short?
Fuel is billed in litres at 15°C and measured by dipping a tank that is nowhere near it. This corrects what arrived before comparing, and separates the part that is genuinely missing from the part that is only temperature.
Free calculatorFuel price break-up calculator
Enter the base price, excise duty, dealer commission and your state's VAT rate. See the retail price it produces and what share of every rupee is tax rather than fuel.
Why these are free
Because the arithmetic is not the hard part. Any of these sums can be done on a phone calculator by someone who knows which numbers to put where — and knowing which numbers to put where is most of what these pages actually teach.
What is hard is doing them every day, on every tank and every shift, and keeping the answers. A stock variance is meaningless as a single figure and diagnostic as a series. A shift that is short is answerable tonight and unanswerable in three weeks. That is the part software is for, and it is what PumpDesk does.
So: use the calculators, whether or not you ever look at the product. They are correct, they are not gated, and the reasoning behind each one is written out on its page.
If you would rather have a file than a form, the same arithmetic is in four free Excel templates — a daily sheet, a stock register, a credit ledger and a tanker delivery log, each with the formulas already in place.
The same sums, every night, without you.
PumpDesk runs this arithmetic from the readings your staff already enter, flags what does not tie out, and keeps the history for your reports.
