The midnight rebuild

Most pumps produce their monthly sheet the same way: someone sits down with a stack of notebooks and a calculator and reconstructs, from primary records, a summary that could have been derived automatically if those records had been entered anywhere else.

The cost is not only the evening. It is that the reconstruction happens once, at the end, when errors are no longer correctable. A reading that was wrong on the 8th is now a number in a total, and the shift that produced it finished three weeks ago.

What the reports cover

Every report runs over a date range you choose. The five report types export to both Excel and PDF — Excel because your accountant will want to work in it, PDF because the owner wants something that prints the same way twice — and Tally exports its own TallyPrime import file instead.

  • Daily — litres sold, collections by payment type, fuel received and expenses for a single day.
  • Monthly — the same, aggregated, with the day-by-day series intact underneath.
  • Fuel-wise — litres split by petrol, diesel and any branded grade you have configured.
  • Staff — shifts and the collections attributed to the people who were on.
  • Expense — what left the drawer and why, over the period.
  • Tally — a TallyPrime import file of the day's sales, credit receipts, expenses and priced purchases, with a ledgers file to import once.

How far back the reports reach

Report history is stated per plan as the entitlement your subscription carries. It is the same year whether you pay monthly or yearly — paying up front buys a cheaper month and a larger team, not a longer archive.

Frequently asked questions

Can my accountant get the data in Excel?

Yes. Every report exports to Excel as well as PDF, over whatever date range you choose. There is also a Tally export: a TallyPrime import file of each day's sales, credit receipts, expenses and the purchases whose invoice amounts you recorded, plus a ledgers file you import once.

Can I export data if I stop subscribing?

The account pauses rather than being deleted, and your data remains exportable. Nothing about the billing state deletes history.

Are the figures in Indian formatting?

Yes — lakh and crore grouping, rupee symbols and Indian date order throughout, on screen and in the exports. A report that reads in a foreign number format is a report somebody has to double-check.
